Martin, C.H. THIRD ARMY A BRIEF HISTORY OF OPERATIONS IN EUROPE. (Germany ?): "Prepared by G-3 Historical Sub-Section," (1945). 10 3/4 by 8 inches in pictorial wrappers. Signed on the title page by General George S. Patton. "Third Army did not take part in the initial stages of Operation Overlord. However, when it did take the field, its field of combat suited the style of its commander. Lieutenant General George S. Patton was one of the U.S. Army's greatest exponents of armored warfare."
