Albumen photograph, 7.25 x 9.5 in., on 8 x 10 in. mount with verso imprint of Edwards & Son, Gallery of Photographic Art, Atlanta, GA. Written in pencil on the reverse is "Mr. Merrill Hackett's Camp of US Geographical Survey." A rare outdoor view of a group of men at camp, their survey equipment visible in the photograph. A horse-drawn wagon can be seen in the background. Merrill Hackett is referenced in a number of Annual US Geographical Survey Reports between the 1890s-early 1900s, with much of his work being done in the Southeastern United States.

At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
