- Lot Description
Germany, early 20th century. A porcelain figure by Meissen depicting the Greek goddess Selene leaning against a tree trunk, with manufacturer's mark on underside; ht. 14.5, wd. 6, dp. 5 in.
Condition
A few leaves have been reaffixed to the front of the figure, one noticeable break to the branch at front center. Drip of glue to base on front. Crescent on forehead appears to have been reaffixed. Unidentified light residue to torso and face visible under black light.
