German, late 19th century. A ninety-eight piece Meissen porcelain dinner service on Neu Brandenstein blanks with hand-painted flowers and insects, each piece with underglaze blue crossed swords mark. Service includes twenty-one dinner plates, twelve soup bowls, fourteen salad plates, seventeen bread and butter plates, nine cups, nine saucers, seven butter pats, one gravy boat with attached underplate, two oval platters, two round platters, one relish bowl, two medium serving bowls and one small serving bowl; oval platter lg. 16.5 in., round platter dia. 12.25 in., dinner plate dia. 10 in.
One salad plate chipped. Two butter pats with chips, one with hairline. One bread and butter plate with chip. One oval platter with light wear to some raised areas. Minor gilt loss to edges of multiple pieces.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
