Lot Description

Hamilton, Alexander. OUTLINES OF THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF MIDWIFERY. Edinburgh: Printed for C. Elliot, 1784. 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches in contemporary full calf with gilt printed red leather label. First Editon of a new work by Hamilton but essentially a revision of his 1775 work entitled "Elements of Midwifery." This copy bears the inked name, "R.L. Roddy," on the title page and also, handwritten in black ink on the lower leather cover, "Robert L. Roddy, Forsyth Georgia."

Condition

Complete in 426 pages with 6 page publisher's catalogue; scuffing to front pastedown; lacks both free endpages; rubbing and wear to joints and edges, otherwise Good.
