American, late 19th century. A Mechanical Novelty Works cast iron mechanical bank of a squirrel and tree stump. Place coin on top of squirrel's paws and press lever to tilt squirrel forward and deposit coin in stump; ht. 4.5, wd. 6.75, dp. 4.5 in.
Spots of paint loss, could use a cleaning, and lever is a bit loose.Condition
