- Lot Description
40-60 caliber, 28" octagonal-to-round barrel, marked on the right side of the frame Mass Arms Co Chicopee Mass. Left side with patent dates. Barrel has a dove tail sight blank also an extra dovetail cut into the barrel. Walnut stock with cheek piece and Swiss buttplate. Checkered forearm. Rear tang sight and front folding beach sight. Blued barrel and case colored frame. Right side of stock has a German silver patchbox with deer head shape at the top. The left side of the stock has silver target inlaid with dots indicating score shot at 110 yards. Also with this rifle is a extra barrel, lever and forearm, S/N 13150 on barrel.
Condition
Barrel has most of the original blue finish. Frame has faded to a silvery grey with some colors. Stock and forearm are excellent with few minor nicks and dings. Bore is bright and shiny. Excellent target rifle with some history with researching.
