Scarce broadside advertising a program featuring a trio of celebrated American humorists: Mark Twain, Bill Nye, and James Whitcomb Riley. The broadside outlines the evening's activities, which consisted of ten readings given by Nye and Riley, starting with an introduction delivered by Mark Twain. His opening remarks, which were later reprinted in the book Mark Twain Speaks, consisted of an extended joke comparing Nye and Riley to the famed Siamese twins, Chang and Eng. OCLC locates one copy, at Houghton Library, Harvard University.
CDV, very fine tonality, trimmed along top and bottom edges, with clipped corners.
Broadside, fully separated along top horizontal fold but can easily be repaired. Previously separated at central horizontal fold, but repaired with document tape.
