American (Cincinnati, Ohio), early 19th century. A tall case clock attributed to the shop of Lexington, KY cabinetmaker Elijah Warner (w. 1814-1829) in cherry and mixed woods, having a scrolled, broken arch pediment supported by four baluster spindles, the wooden face painted with eagle and shield crest and labeled L. Watson / Cincinnati, the waist with canted corners and shaped door, all on a box base with tramp detailing, rising on shaped apron and bracket feet; ht. 95.25, wd. 19.25, dp. 10.25 in.
