- Lot Description
French, 19th century. A poudreuse or dressing table in kingwood, having a hinged serpentine surface inset with five porcelain plaques, the center plaque decorated with courtyard scene, lifting to a fitted felt interior, the veneered serpentine case with inset porcelain plaques, mounted with gilt bronze throughout, rising on cabriole legs; ht. 28.5, wd. 27.25, dp. 20 in.
Condition
Some veneer popping, missing screws to some of the bronzes which surmount the plaques. Small veneer loss. Age cracks to wood on top. Some wear to enamels.
