- Lot Description
Late 19th to early 20th century. Includes one sword by Ames and one by Wilson and Stellwagen. Ames blade length 28.25", 35.75" overall. Blade and ricasso plain. leather covered scabbard engraved with typical Masonic symbols and marked AMES MFG CO. CHICOPEE MASS. . Wilson and Stellwagen blade length 29", 36.75" overall. Silver plated grip and pommel with bone grip. Blade adorned with Masonic symbols with Wilson and Stellwagen on ricasso. Silver plated scabbard adorned with Masonic symbols.
1) Good condition. Blade is clean with some darkening on ricasso. Grip shows some finish wear. Scabbard shows some wear revealing brass. Engravings are crisp and leather shows some wear. 2) Good condition. Blade shows some light rust and darkening throughout. Silver plating on hilt and scabbard shows some tarnish, engraving still crisp.Condition
