Lot consists of three U.S. Model 1858 canteens with jeanwool covers. Includes two Model 1858 "smooth side" and one Model 1862 "bullseye" pattern, all three with pewter spouts. One Model 1858 marked on spout "A. Jewett", indicating manufacture by the firm of Alber Jewett & Co. of New York. Jewett example also features a linen strap with cord stopper retainer. Model 1862 has illegible markings on pewter spout, which may read "J. HALL ROHRMAN PHILA", as well as a replacement leather strap with eagle button as well as a replacement chain stopper retainer.
