- Lot Description
Lot includes two U.S. Model 1861 percussion cap boxes and one contract percussion cap box. One M1861 box shows illegible sub-inspector stamp on front flap. with illegible markers mark on inside flap. Other shows "R" stamp between belt loops on rear with "S.H. YOUNG/& CO./NEWARK/N.J." Contract box has illegible maker's mark on inside flap, though date "1863" is barely visible.
Good condition. Leather shows some surface wear, with some cracking, bloom, and crazing present. Belt loops are all intact and attached as are brass finials.Condition
