Lot Description

Saint-Exupery, Antoine de. LE PETIT PRINCE. New York: Reynal & Hitchock, (1943). First French language edition published very close to the first English language edition of 500 because of wartime conditions. This is #61 of 260 copies signed by the author on the limitation page which precedes the 1/2 title. 9 by 7 1/4 inches in original salmon cloth. Housed in a custom cloth clamshell box.

Condition

Minimal rubbing to the corners, otherwise fresh and Very Good condition. The color pictorial dust jacket shows toning and soiling and professional paper restoration at the edges - heavier at the top. The dust jacket is price-clipped.
