Mailer, Norman. THE NAKED AND THE DEAD. New York: Rinehart and Co., (1948). First Edition in dust jacket. 8 1/2 by 5 3/4 inches in black paper over board covers with white titling to the spine.
with:
Jones, James. FROM HERE TO ETERNITY. New York: Scribner's Sons, 1951. First Edition in dust jacket. 8 1/2 by 6 inches in black cloth with gilt titling to spine.
Both are the authors' "FIRST BOOKS," and both are considered the best American novels to come from the experience of World War II. The second title won the National Book Award.
Both books show modest handling wear and rubbing but are Very Good and internally fresh. The dust jacket for From Here to Eternity is price-clipped.Condition
