Miller, Henry. INSOMNIA, OR THE DEVIL AT LARGE. Albuquerque: Loujon Press, 1970. First Edition and one of only 20 sets issued in a 23 by 18 inch orange clamshell case as a memorial and fundraiser for the publisher. Loujon Press was the creation and labor of love of John Edgar Webb and his wife Gypsy Lou Webb. This issue includes: a spiralbound book (4to) in foil wrapper; portfolio of 12 color lithographed reproductions of Miller watercolors; special frontis and colophon leaf; limited edition portrait of Henry Miller by Giovanapoulos (not included in other issues) and here signed and numbered #17 of 30; plus a manuscript note from Mrs. Webb affixed to the inside of the clamshell. In a production with a very complicated history, including an issue of approximately 300 distributed in a custom wooden box, this "super-limited" distribution of 20 in a clamshell box would seem to be the most desireable to collectors.
