- Lot Description
American, ca. 1900-1942. A group of five Lionel pre-war train cars, including one No. 318 locomotive in charcoal color (lg. 13.5, ht. 5 in.), one No. 8 engine in red (lg. 12.25, ht. 4.75 in.), one No. 215 oil car in green (lg. 14.25, ht. 5.25 in.), one No. 214 box car in yellow and orange with original paper label on underside (lg. 14.5, ht. 5.5 in.), and one No. 218 dump car in olive green (lg. 14.5, ht. 5.75 in.), each marked for maker and with model number.
No. 318: light paint loss and some small dents, wear to wheels, paint loss/scratches to plates with model number and manufacturer name. No. 8: Sticker on underside indicates professional restoration, wear to wheels. Couplers also repainted. No. 215: Some loss to gold paint and light oxidation to wheels. Paint loss/scratches to name plates. No. 214: Light wear to paint and a couple of tiny dents on roof. No. 218: A few spots of paint loss.Condition
