- Lot Description
Library Table Attributed to R. J. Horner & Co.
American (New York), late 19th century. A library table, probably the work of R. J. Horner & Co., supported by four carved winged griffins with acathine carved stretcher, two drawers on each side with carved face in between, and top decorated with acathine carved border, all on large bun feet with castors. Stamped on bottom 3218, carved on bottom 3218 and 22; ht. 33.25, wd. 60, dp. 35.25 in. Provenance: From the Windermere United Methodist Church on Euclid Avenue, ClevelandCondition
General wear typical with age especially at corners, one griffin has chip to chest and chip to scrolled tail.
