American, ca 1820. A mahogany scroll top looking glass clock by Joseph Ives (Bristol, CT), having three brass finials, a full-length door with two reverse-painted tablets, and painted Roman numeral dial, flanked by corbels over reeded flat columns, the movement with roller pinions, brass gears, iron plates, eight-day time and strike weight-driven movement; ht. 56, wd. 19.5, dp. 6 in.
Provenance: Property from the Hal Wehling Collection, Cincinnati, OHCowan's does not guarantee the working condition of this clock. Complete, with paint losses to interior. Aged dial and one repaired scroll.Condition
