John Bell Pennsylvania Redware Flower Pot
John Bell (Pennsylvania, 1800-1880). A manganese glazed redware flower pot having a gadrooned rim on pot and attached undertray, and molded handles in the form of hands holding rings, impressed John Bell / Waynesboro and retaining label from George S. McKearin Collection of American Pottery; oah. 7.25 in.
Purchased at Cincinnati Antiques Show, October 11, 1964 from Mariwayne Shop of Independence, Ohio.
Several chips in side under mark and label. Expected wear to upper rim. Two chips and unglazed area in undertray. Several chips to underside rim of undertray. Light wear to handles.
