Japanese Type II Paratrooper Rifle
7.7mm, 25.875" barrel, S/N 6224 . Blued finish, hardwood stock. Nagoya arsenal marked, Imperial mum intact on receiver. The matching partial serial number 224 is present on the bayonet lug, the bolt is mis-matched and is numbered 367 throughout, including the safety and firing pin. The matching take-down mating number 312 is present on the barrel, receiver, both reinforcing plates on the forward and rearward sections of the take-down area and the take-down action locking lug. Retains the long range rear sight with anti-aircraft "wings" for leading, V-shaped wedge front sight with protective ears, both sling swivels and cleaning rod.
Very good, retains some faded and thinning blue. All markings clear and crisp. Mechanically functional, very good bore. Stock with scattered bumps, dings and handling marks.Condition
