Presented by Commander Baron S. Nishi of the Imperial Japanese Navy, and including his card. Shinrokuro Nishi was a Japanese military figure in the first part of the 20th century. He served as naval attaché to the Japanese legation in Washington, D.C. and was appointed in 1903 as the captain of the cruiser Kasagi. Nishi later served as both chief of staff and commanding officer of the Mako Guard District in Taiwan.
