South Indian, 19th century. A Chola-style bronze of Parvati standing in tribangha on a double lotus throne depicted with right handa in katakamudra, tridents adorn her arms and conical headdress, wearing various jewelry and sacred thread, tendrils of hair falling down her shoulders adorned with lotus blossoms, all with brown patina; ht. 28.5, wd. 10.25, dp. 9.75 in.
Condition
Lotus blossom on verso of headdress is bent and cracked. Chip to base at front right corner.
