Folio (12 x 17 in.), in original box, tipped in illustration on front of half-cloth boards, same illustration tipped onto top of box. Frontis and fifteen color illustrations, in the turn-of-the-century "Gibson girl" style.
Harrison Fisher wa born in Brooklyn and studied at the San Francisco Art Association. He returned to New York in 1898, working mostly as an illustrator for periodicals. His drawings of women won him acclaim as the "heir apparent" to Charles Dana Gibson. His drawings were regularly featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan, among other magazines. Another contemporaneous artist was Howard Chandler Christy.
