10" spear point, double-edged blade with 5.5" false edge, 1.4" wide in front of the choil. 5" hilt with 3" oval German silver crossguard and pinned ivory scales. Reverse of blade marked in three lines above the median ridge: G. WOSTENHOLM & SON / WASHINGTON WORKS / SHEFFIELD and with a spread-winged eagle holding a banner in its claws that reads: EQUAL RIGHTS . Reverse ricasso marked in .4" tall letters: I*XL . Accompanied by a German silver-mounted leather scabbard with embossed gold gilt boarder line decorations on front and back and marked I*XL on the face.
