- Lot Description
American (Troy, New York), ca 1860. A pair of tabletop globes by Merriam & Moore, celestial and terrestrial, each with a brass meridian and set in a turned maple stand; oah. 13 in. (each).
Provenance: Ex Nathan Liverant & Son, LLC.

Expected wear and toning to each, and a few stains. The Celestial globe is missing the screw at the base. Something is loose inside the globe and can be heard during handling. There are a few tears to the lithographed surface, although not resulting in significant losses. There is a little bit of warping at the bottom of the Terrestrial globe, and the stand has a rough edge, along the outer circle.
