- Lot Description
American, mid-18th century. A Hudson River Valley hanging corner cupboard in gumwood, with shaped interior shelves, a lower shelf, a raised-panel door, and its original wrought-iron hinges; ht. 46, wd. 23, dp. 13.5 in.
Provenance: Property from the Descendants of Bertha Benkard Rose, Oyster Bay, NY and Tucson, AZ
Condition
Remnants of original red paint. Remnants of original red paint. Never re-painted. The pendant drop may have been cut and originally probably tapered down. The hinges are original with rosehead nails, not reset. Scratches to front door.
