- Lot Description
Lot of 2, including yellow ribbon, 8.5 x 2 in., "Press/ Gone With the Wind." Accompanied by printed ticket, 3.5 x 1.5 in., for the premiere of the movie in orchestra seating on Thursday, December 28, 1939 at Cathay Circle Theater.
A coveted ticket and press ribbon in the 1930s and today.
Gone With the Wind is one of the most beloved and celebrated films of all time. It is based on Margaret Mitchell's Pulitzer-prize-winning novel, of the same title, published in 1936. The movie was released three years later and became one of the highest-grossing and most successful films in box-office history.
Condition
Some fraying of the ribbon, the ticket is in excellent condition.
