- Lot Description
8.15 X 46R mm, 28.375" octagonal barrel with matted top flat, no S/N. Blued finish, checkered pistol-gripped stock with raised cheek rest and checkered semi-Schnabel forend. Tip-down barrel with extractor, Imperial German proof marks. Receiver lightly engraved with simple foliate scrolls. Concealed hammer, double set triggers, sliding safety on wrist. Fixed notch and single folding blade rear sight, ramped front sight with steel bead. Sling swivels. Appears to be approximately 8mm, with the exact cartridge undetermined and will require a chamber casting. 8x57 will not chamber.
Good. Retains none of the blued finish with mostly mottled gray and brown patina, showing some scattered freckles of surface oxidation. Mechanically functional, good, lightly pitted bore. Stock with scattered nicks, dings and handling marks.Condition
