- Lot Description
** German BYF/41 "Black Widow" P.08 Pistol
9mm caliber, 4" barrel, S/N 1290N . Visible numbers matching, magazine is a later Erma replacement. Blued finish with black plastic checkered grips. Blade front sight with V-notch rear sight. Barrel marked with serial number and caliber with serial number marked on front of receiver. Chamber marked with " 41 " date with toggle bearing Mauser " byf " code. Right side of receiver marked with " 655 " Waffenamt with Nazi proofs on right side of receiver and barrel. Left side of receiver also marked " P.08 ". Safety marked " GESICHERT " when lever in down position. Extractor marked " GELADEN. " Interior of grips unmarked. Includes non-matching holster.
Good to very good. Most of the blued finish remains with some wear to raised edges leaving a brown and pewter coloration. Markings are legible. Grips show some light wear with some loss of plastic behind left grip, not visible when installed. Otherwise good definition to checkering and free of cracks and other major damage. Appears mechanically functional. Bore is good; some darkening on lands with visible edges to rifling. Could clean to better.Condition
