George II Sterling Trays
English, 18th century. A group of four George II sterling silver trays with scroll borders, the largest with scroll feet, the three small trays raised on scroll and hoof feet, all with hallmarks for London, date marks for 1732 and 1734, and marked for John Tuite; largest tray dia. 10.5 in., silver wt. 44.11ozt (1372g).
All with some minor surface wear as would be expected with age and use. All trays have small pictorial engravings to center. Large tray is slightly wobbly and has E.R. monogram to underside. It also has a couple of small dings near the serpent's head which are visible in raking light. One smaller round tray with some minor pitting on back near marks. Smaller square tray with some wear near initials on back.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received. Shipment is generally made via UPS Ground service. Unless buyer gives special instructions, the shipping method shall be at the sole discretion of Cowan's Auctions, Inc..
