- Lot Description
Lot of 5 boudoir cards, photographer unknown, ca last quarter 19th century. Including the following titles (first two titled in negative, remaining titled in ink on verso): "No. 268 Fort Niobrara, Neb."; "No. 280 Officer's Quarters, Fort Niobrara, Neb."; "US Regular camp at Omaha showing the GAR reunion"; "Bridge crossing the Niobrara River near the post"; and "After a Blizzard."
Located near the Rosebud Agency, Fort Niobrara was surveyed by General Crook and constructed in 1880. It was an active military post until 1907 when it was abandoned and is now a protected Federal Wildlife Area.

At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
