Lot of 5 cabinet cards, including a boy from Gowanda, NY, wearing a hat supporting Cleveland & Thurman, the unsuccessful ticket in the 1888 election; three members of the Lindley family from Ashley, MI, the man wearing a ribbon with a portrait of McKinley; a portrait of a man from Derby Line, VT, wearing a button supporting McKinley; a portrait of a mustachioed gentleman from Louisiana in St. Louis, MO, for the 1896 People's Party national convention, wearing a People's Party/ Louisiana Delegation ribbon and William Jennings Bryan button (the People's Party endorsed Bryan, the Democratic candidate, after a contentious convention); and a portrait of a man posed with a bicycle and wearing a PROHIBITION ribbon, identified on verso as H.S. Bonsib of Vincennes, IN, on May 26, 1896. Mr. Bonsib was an active campaigner for the Prohibitionists in the 1896 election and was the party's nominee for Indiana state statistician in 1900.
