This issue of The London Gazette records news of the newly signed Treaty Of Paris, "St. James's, September 9....The Definitive Treaty with the United States of America was also signed at Paris on the 3d Instant, by David Hartley, Esq; His Majesty's Plenipotentiary, and by the Plenipotentiaries of the United States; and Mr. Hartley is hourly expected to arrive with it." The Treaty of Paris, signed days earlier on September 3, 1783, officially ended the American Revolutionary War. British MP David Hartley and Richard Oswald represented Great Britain, and Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, John Adams, and Henry Laurens represented the United States of America.
Evenly toned. A few small, faint dampstains on front page that bleed through to all pages but none affecting text. Some chipping and small tears along vertical fold but paper remains intact.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received. Shipment is generally made via UPS Ground service. Unless buyer gives special instructions, the shipping method shall be at the sole discretion of Cowan's Auctions, Inc..
