- Lot Description
American, 19th century. A mahogany secretary desk in two parts, line inlay throughout, having a three urn finial top with concave frieze, the upper case having two glass doors with shaped mullions opening to interior shelving, above two tambour doors concealing six valanced pigeon holes over four inlaid and dovetailed drawers, the lower case consisting of a fold out leather writing surface, above two graduated and two aligned cockbeaded and dovetailed drawers with brass pulls, all rising on tapering turned and reeded legs. Label on verso for Sam Serota Antiques of Portland, Maine; ht. 79, wd. 37.5, dp. 23 in.
