- Lot Description
American (probably Boston), ca 1815-1819. A Federal writing desk in mahogany, the upper bookcase having a molded cornice above two swing doors with arch molded glass panes, opening to a single shelf interior, over three aligned, cockbeaded drawers with brass pulls and escutcheons, the lower case having a fold out writing surface over three graduated cockbeaded drawers with brass pulls, rising on turned bobbin style legs; ht. 59, wd. 40.5, dp. 21 in.
