- Lot Description
12 gauge pinfire, 27.5" barrels, S/N 165. Browned and case hardened finish, checkered walnut buttstock with raised cheek rest and relief carved decorations on the reverse and an engraved patchbox on the obverse. Checkered splinter forend. Patterned Damascus style barrels. Receiver, back-action locks, hammers and triggerguard are profusely engraved with tight foliate motifs. Carved wood pistol grip extension attached to toe of stock behind triggerguard. Sling swivels in toe of stock and on lug under barrels.
Very good. Barrels of receiver with a rich plum brown patina. Mechanically functional, fine bores. Stock very crisp showing only light handling marks, with some minor dings and mars.Condition
