English (Liverpool), ca 1740. A longcase clock in walnut with movement by James Kenyon of Liverpool, an eight day time and strike on bell, having an early brass dial with dolphin motif and small painting of a ship, the dial flanked by turned hood columns, with a shaped trunk door and ogee bracket feet; ht. 94 in. (without finial).
The case of this clock is unusual in that it is walnut.
Cowan's does not guarantee the working condition of this clock. Case has multiple repairs. Front hood with glass broken. Two finials missing, one present. Weights and pendulum present, winding key absent.
