- Lot Description
American, late 19th-early 20th century. An Empress Concert Grand upright disc music box by Lyon & Healy (serial no. 7706), having a double comb mechanism. In a mahogany case with carved embellishments and brass handles. The disc storage compartment below includes over forty 18.5 inch discs, includes crank; ht. 42, wd. 29.5, dp. 22.25 in.
Provenance: Property from the Irene and Theodore Leverett CollectionPresently in working order, with a rich sound with tremendous acoustics. There are some small areas of surface wear to the finish on the case and lid.Condition
