Elliott Chiming Hall Clock
English, ca 1900. A three-train mahogany hall clock with nine tubes and an eight day, quarter-striking movement, having Westminster and Whittington chimes as well as a chime-and-silent setting, the curved bonnet with urn-and-spike finials above an arched, sun-and-moon dial with a subsidiary seconds dial and elaborate brass scrolling, marked Elliot / London, the case having a rectangular door flanked by fluted columns and inset with three oval, beveled-glass panels, the whole resting on a rectangular base with egg-and-dart molding and frontal paw feet; ht. 94.75, wd. 26.25, dp. 19.25 in.
Complete with winder. Two wood finials broken. Dial chapter rings scratched. Movement needs cleaning.
