- Lot Description
Eduard Kettner Drilling
7.8mm/16 gauge/16 gauge, 26" barrels, S/N 32501 . Visible numbers matching, ca 1928. Length of pull 13.75", drop at heel 2.5", cylinder bore. Bead front sight with folding rear sights and mated rib. Blued barrels and frame with checkered forend and grip. Top of barrels marked " EDUARD KETTNER, KÖLN B./R.II. ". Bottom of barrels under forend marked with " FLUSS-STAHL-KRUPP-ESSEN " with German proof marks, caliber markings, and date code. Frame engraved with banknote scrolls and rosettes on screw heads and hinge pins.
Good overall. Barrels retain most of the blued finish with some light handling wear to top of barrel and a patch on bottom of barrel with an exposed gunmetal coloration. Frame retains only minor bling with most remaining on triggerguard and some visible remnants on frame. Stock has some handling marks including a 2" hairline split from left side screw to frame and filled-in sling swivel mount. Appears mechanically functional. Bores are good to very good with some rounding of lands to rifle barrel.Condition
