- Lot Description
American, ca. 1880. An Eastlake cylinder roll desk in walnut with burled panels, the top having an open shelf with a molded crest above a cylinder roll opening to a desk interior with three pigeonholes, two drawers and pull-out writing surface, over a single dovetailed drawer with burl veneer pulls, the lower section having a single-door cabinet on one side and three graduated drawers on the other, all rising on block feet; ht. 52, wd. 29.5, dp. 20.5 in.
Side door has thin crack, chip to wood at top of roll-lid, thin crack in burl veneer on lower section, crack in wood on bottom drawer on the side, and all used to be resting on casters. Surface wear expected from age and use.Condition
