bowl embellished with pewter and brass rings; brass collar; haft inlaid with German Silver heart, tomahawks, and stars; pewter mouthpiece, overall length 19.75 in., width of blade 2.25 in.
mid-19th centuryIncluded is a copy of the collection history: Belonged to Roe Fithian (b.1906), Newton, Illinois. In the early 1800’s it was traded to his grandfather’s store in Jasper - Clark Co. Ill., by an Indian for groceries. Roe’s widow gave it to Glenn in the 1930s.
