Early First Model Nimschke Engraved Marlin Ballard 6 1/2 Rigby Rifle
.38-50 caliber, 28" round barrel with Rigby flats, S/N 3140. Wind gauge front sight; rear tang sight. Single trigger. Straight stock. Engraved with a buffalo on the right side; on the left side is a buck in the grass with his doe. Checkered forearm with horn tip. Finely figured walnut checkered stock with cheek piece. Nickel finished Swiss-style buttplate. Comes with a period leather shooter's box, marked on the label William B Schaefer, with 42 rounds of nickel finished everlasting empty brass and a decapping tool.
Barrel retains most of the bright original blue finish. Frame is sharp and crisp retaining most of the case colored finish, just lightly fading. Buttstock and forearm are excellent. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
