Webb, Laura S. Custer's Immortality. A Poem, with Biographical Sketches of the Chief Actors in the Late Tragedy of the Wilderness. New York: New York Evening Stream Presses, [1876]. 16mo, brown cloth covered boards with gilt title, 72pp, 21 facsimile sketches made by Sitting Bull, and original fold-out map, 10 x 10.5 in. FFEP inscribed and signed by the author: "To Mr. John L. Harper, With the grateful prayers of his obliged Southern friend, The Author. / Oct. 29th, 1879."
With touching, printed tribute to Mrs. General George A. Custer, the "widow of a soldier who wore the Federal 'blue,'" from Laura S. Webb, "the widow of a soldier who wore the 'grey' and died in defence of the cause for which he fought."
Previous owner's bookplate on interior of front cover. Warping near top of front cover as a result of previous water damage, some interior effects to pages as a result of this, but very minor. Some light scuffing to boards, corner and edge wear to boards and spine. Short tear near lower right corner of map.
