- Lot Description
Continental, ca. 1920s-1930s. A group of five Art Deco porcelain figures, each with manufacturer's mark on underside, including:
one dancer with a gold half-moon headpiece by Aelteste Volkstedt (Germany), impressed M 303 on underside; ht. 8.5, wd. 5, dp. 3 in,;
one dancer with a feather hat by Muller & Co. (Germany), impressed 5 / 3580 on underside; ht. 8.25, wd. 3, dp. 3 in.;
one woman standing on a yellow rose by Augarten Wien (Austria), impressed 1564 on underside; ht. 8.25, wd. 3, dp. 2.25 in.;
one woman in a frilly tulle dress, with a "beehive" mark and impressed 6997 on underside; ht. 6.5, wd. 3.75, dp. 3 in.;
and one seated nude woman by Cmielow Porcelain (Poland); ht. 4.25, wd. 4.25, dp. 3.25 in.
Condition
Dancer with tulle: professional restoration to tulle at her knee and small breaks in the back. Woman on yellow rose: repair around where feet meet base (visible under black light).
