- Lot Description
Continental, likely German or Austrian. Two painted tin trade signs of shield form, one depicting a man spinning yarn within a gilt border with angel heads, title in German and date 1684, the other decorated on two sides, one depicting a man and woman spinning yarn, the other with the crest of the Holy Roman Empire, St. Paul and St. Augustine, having a scrolling border with both sides dated 1755; larger ht. 17 in. (excluding hanging hook), smaller ht. 15 in.
One scrolling arm missing. Some paint loss to each.Condition
