- Lot Description
.38 Super, 5" barrel, S/N 92101 (mfg. ca 1951). Blued finish, checkered brown plastic grips with rampant Colt logo. Slide marked COLT SUPER 38/AUTOMATIC with rampant Colt Logo on left side and with one-line COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT address on right side. Sides of frame and slide with bright polished blue, finish, top of slide, bottom of frame and grip frame with matted blue finish. Grooved trigger, hammer with sides polished bright and checkered spur with matte blue. Includes two blued magazines that are appropriately marked COLT SUPER/38 AUTO on the base plates. Also included in a brown pasteboard factory box with a gold end label with green printing that correctly identifies the gun as a Colt Super 38 Automatic Pistol. The original folded instruction sheet is contained in the box as well.
**Requires C&R or FFLVery fine. Retains nearly all of the bright polished blue on the sides of the slide and frame, with some minor wear and loss to the matte blue, particularly on the lower frame. Mechanically functional, fine bright bore, grips very crisp with some white surface discoloration. Box about good, with flaking, wear and some taped repairs. Instruction sheet with wear and tearing along fold lines.Condition
