** Colt Pre-Woodsman Target
.22LR caliber, 6.625" barrel, S/N 23094 (mfg. ca 1921). Blued finish, checkered wood grips. Left side of slide marked COLT , followed by AUTOMATIC / CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE , followed by the Rampant Colt Logo. No "The Woodsman" mark on left of frame. Top of "pencil" barrel marked in two lines: COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. / PAT'D DEC. 22, 1903. AUG. 27, 1918. SEPT. 3, 1918 . Smooth trigger, adjustable rear sight, screw secured adjustable front sight blade with black insert. Includes a single blued magazine marked CAL. 22 / COLT on the base plate. These early Woodsman pistols (under serial number 80,000) are designed for standard velocity .22 ammo only.
Fine. Retains nearly all of the blued finish with only the most minor thinning and some minor light handling marks. All markings clear and crisp, mechanically functional, fine bore and grips.Condition
