.45 Colt caliber, 5.5" barrel, S/N 313040 (mfg. ca 1911). Blued and color case hardened finish, checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips. One-line barrel address, three-date in two-line patent marking on frame with Rampant Colt logo. Left of barrel marked (BISLEY MODEL) 45 COLT. Smokeless frame. Backstrap of the revolver is engraved in large block letters: HARRY PRICE . Accompanied by a Colt Factory Letter verifying the configuration of the revolver and showing that it was one of two guns shipped to William H. Hoegee Co, Inc. in Los Angeles on June 22, 1910. The revolver is further accompanied by a notarized letter from the George Price, brother of the original owner of the gun, Harry Price, which is dated 1971. The letter details Harry's use of the gun while a deputy sheriff and later sheriff in Goldfield, Nevada circa 1912. According to the letter, the gun was used in two different law enforcement shootings, one of a drunk gambler and one of a claim jumper.
